Duquesne Law Review
Abstract
Can a municipality be liable in quasi contract? What recourse is available to the individual or corporation whose contract with a municipality does not comply with the specific statutory requirements prescribed by the legislature? This comment will attempt to examine these two problems, investigate the many circumstances where they may arise and analyze the rational of the courts in permitting or denying recovery. In the light of the vast number of municipalities existing in Pennsylvania, particular attention will be directed to that state.
