Duquesne Law Review
Abstract
The United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania has held that failure to hire or promote women to positions for which they are otherwise qualified, on the basis of sex, is a violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, despite any provision of Pennsylvania law regulating hours of work for women.
Kober v. Westinghouse Electric Corporation, 325 F. Supp. 467 (W.D. Pa. 1971).
