Description
John F. Kennedy visited Pittsburgh PA (October 12-13, 1962) and stayed at the William Penn Hotel (then known as the Penn-Sheraton) while stumping for Democratic candidates including U.S. Rep. Elmer Holland of Pittsburgh's South Side and former Philadelphia Mayor Richardson Dilworth, who was then running for governor. We believe this photograph was taken in front of the William Penn Hotel where he stayed on the 16th floor during his visit. Note: This is not the original photo but a digital copy made in 2014.
